Portions of the Mid-South were under a winter storm warning while Alcorn County was on the edge of a winter storm watch as of Saturday evening for potential ice accumulations Sunday night.
The National Weather Service forecast for Corinth calls for possibly a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation overnight with freezing rain or sleet likely after arctic air moves in and changes over the rainfall to a wintry mix. Precipitation amounts are expected to be greater to the northwest.
Hazardous driving conditions may occur. NWS said the storm track and precipitation amounts remained uncertain.
The high temperature for Monday is forecast to be 35.
