According to The Alliance President Gary Chandler, C-Spire is now looking for the interest of the Crossroads residents in regards to having faster access to the Internet via fiber optics.
“This is 100 times faster than any other means of having internet service,” Chandler explained. “Now that we have moved forward with this process, our number one goal now is to get people to sign up for the service.”
There is no obligation to sign up for the program and those who are interested can do so by going to www.corinthfiberfirst.com, and then click on the blue button where it says click to sign up, according to Chandler.
“Just because folks sign up and express their interest doesn't obligate them to anything at this time,” added Chandler. “You don't have to be a C-Spire customer to enroll on-line either. You can be an AT&T or Verizon customer, it doesn't matter at this point we are again . . . just looking for the interest of the people.
The RFI was completed and submitted and a video will also be produced by the Alliance to demonstrate how this fiber to home process works.
“We are making and producing the video and we have also vamped up our presence on social media sites to get the word out,” explained Chandler. “We have put the message out on digital billboards around town and we have reached out to local businesses for their help and support as well.”
Chandler also said the program will enhance entertainment and communications for both the informational and performance side and will permit uses of technology in manners that are not currently experienced, including telecommuting, video conferencing, etc.
