Two Burnsville men are listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries following a one-vehicle accident in Alcorn County around midnight Friday.

Troopers with Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the crash of a 1988 Toyota 4-runner at approximately 11:15 p.m. The accident occurred on U.S. Hwy. 72, just East of the Corinth city limits.

The MHP, which is in charge of the investigation, said it appeared Matthew Linton, 26, was traveling east bound when he apparently lost control of his vehicle, which cause it to overturn several times.

Linton and a passenger, Billy Lambert, 50, were both ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. Neither the driver or passenger were wearing a seat belt

Both were both transported to the MED in Memphis by air ambulance.
