Corinth hit 12 of its first 18 shots en route to a 77-50 win over Tishomingo County on Friday.

After dropping three of five contests before the turn of the calendar, the Warriors improved to 15-4 with their fourth straight win. The season sweep of the Braves also moved CHS to 7-0 in Division 1-4A play.

Desmin Harris scored 11 -- including three 3-pointers -- of his game-high 21 points in the opening quarter Corinth jumped out to a 28-13 lead.

Raheem Sorrell scored all six of his points in the frame, including his first career dunk.

Antares Gwyn tallied eight of Corinth’s 15 points in the second quarter as the Warriors took a 43-20 lead at the break.

Harris busted loose for 10, including his fourth and fifth threes of the night, as Corinth outscored Tish County 22-17 in the third. Corinth led by 25 early in the third and after a brief TC rally, pushed it back out to 28 after three.

Terrel Payton, who posted another double-double with 18 points and 13 boards, got loose for eight straight points in the fourth. Bubba Walker scored Corinth’s last four points as CHS settled for a 27-point lead.

Gwyn finished with 12 points. Darius Gaines added 11, hitting half of his four 3-point attempts.

Corinth finished 30-of-65 overall and 7-of-18 from deep. CHS finished with a 40-33 advantage on the boards.

The Warriors turned the ball over just 10 times, none in the second.

Corinth faces West Point today at 6 in the Kings of Court Classic at North Pontotoc.
