Corinth (8-8, 4-3) led by 12 at the break, but held on for a 54-49 Division 1-4A win despite managing just 22 second-half points.
After missing 11 of their first 17 attempts from the line, Corinth iced the contest by hitting 5-of-6 the final 25.2 seconds. Sadie Johnson was 3-of-4 and Jamia Kirk made it a two possession game by nailing two with 1.9 seconds left.
Corinth moved one-game over .500 in league play after finishing off its second sweep of the week. The Lady Warriors won their second in as many tries against Amory.
Aspen Stricklen scored 10 of her team-high 14 points in the opening half as Corinth took a 32-20 lead at the break. Stricklen scored four buckets in the second as CHS outscored TC 16-7.
After trailing by as many as 15 in the first half, Tish County (5-13, 1-5) rallied with 22 points in the third -- two more than their first half effort. Anne Claire Griffin scored 10 of her game-high 20 in the frame.
Katie Williamson added nine in the frame as the Lady Braves pulled to within 45-42. After TC missed 10 of 15 free throws in the second quarter, Griffin and Williamson aided the rally by nailing seven of eight.
Corinth was patient on offense the final period, attempting just seven shots. However, seven of their 24 turnovers on the night kept the Lady Braves in the game.
Tish County pulled to within one at 49-48 with 1:07 remaining. Corinth scored its last five points from the line and held the Lady Braves to one point down the stretch.
