GLEN -- It was a no-go for the Alcorn Central basketball teams in their first home game of division play for the 2012-2013 season.

The Bears dropped both contests to the Booneville Blue Devils, each team losing by double digits.

The Lady Bears fell in a 68-56 final, as the boys finished with a 69-55 loss.

The Bears gained a two point lead in the second quarter - the only lead in the game - as momentum remained with the Blue Devils and leading scorer Kenny Paul Geno.

Geno would extend the lead for the Blue Devils back to seven on two back-to-back dunks in the closing minutes of the second quarter,

With a 34-27 deficit for the Bears at the half, Central would make a run for the lead in the third quarter off a steal and a lay-up from Ben McIntyre.
