Sodom and Gomorrah?

I’ve been reading the Sound Off section and it seems people are waking up to a few things. First, so many people don’t have the right idea of what “Christianity” really is. People say they are a Christian, but they uphold willful sin. They pretend to be a friend but stab you in the back, lie on you and  talk about you very nasty. They still have a filthy mouth and will run you down. This is so pitiful to just make themselves look good.

We are living in another Sodom and Gomorrah. God destroyed them upholding Sodom and Gomorrah was just as guilty.

Who let the dogs out?

I’m concerned about the growing number of dogs that are being “dropped” in Alcorn County. I live close to the Tish/Alcorn line and just in the past three months there has been an alarming number of dogs dropped near my home. At this very moment there is a mother dog and about six pups on CR 177. They have been there for the past week.

The “considerate” person who dropped these animals off left a bag of feed and a bowl of water (how nice!). There has been several attempts to pick these dogs up, however the mother is hostile towards people. (Don’t blame her)

The Humane Society was notified and said they would gladly take them, but someone would have to bring them in. Apparently the Alcorn Humane Society doesn’t go outside the Corinth City limits, but that’s a different issue.

I do not understand how anyone could leave a dog somewhere to starve to death! They either are too stupid to realize or do not care that when these animals are not taken in by someone, they turn wild. We’ve already got an alarming number of coyotes in this area, we do not need wild dogs that are just brave enough to come into our yards and attack our kids. So whoever these bright people are who keep dumping their unwanted pets, remember, we don’t want them either! If we wanted/needed more dogs, we’d go get them ourselves!
