People strolling through downtown Corinth next week will want to keep their eye out for hidden Easter eggs.

Downtown merchants have placed prizes, discounts off merchandise and gift certificates inside colorful plastic eggs placed outside throughout the downtown area.

"We encourage the entire family to visit downtown Corinth to dine, shop and find eggs," said Corinth Main Street Director Angela Avent.

Called "Downtown Eggstravaganza," the Easter week promotion begins Wednesday and continues through Saturday.

All prizes, discounts and gift certificates need to be redeemed at the participants by end of business day on Saturday, said Avent.

"Downtown Eggstravaganza" continues efforts by Main Street Corinth to promote the downtown area and encourage people to shop and dine locally, she said.

"Eggs will be hidden all over the downtown area," added Avent.
