A two-vehicle wreck at a busy intersection in North Corinth slowed traffic and sent at least one person to the hospital on Friday afternoon.

Corinth Police Department, Corinth Fire Department and Magnolia EMS officials responded to the wreck around 1:30 p.m. on MS Highway 2 at the intersection of Harper Road near Dollar General.

The wreck ended in a rollover for the driver of a Chevy van, while the driver of a Kia sedan came to a stop in a nearby ditch. Damage was visible to the front of the Kia. Contents from the van were scattered across the highway following the rollover.

While details on the wreck were not released, police did have one person in handcuffs at the scene. At least one other person was loaded into a Magnolia EMS ambulance. That individual was taken to Magnolia Regional Health Center with injuries.

Police worked traffic control at the scene for about an hour following the wreck. Congestion was a problem on both the east and west bound lanes of MS Highway 2, along with north bound traffic on Harper Road.
