As the shooting victim was rushed away in an ambulance, investigators combed the neighborhood searching for answers.

Emergency dispatchers received the "shots fired" call around 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday and Corinth Police responded to another January shooting.

The apartment complex on East Sixth Street was once again the scene where officers would find the latest shooting victim "" shot once in the abdomen and bleeding onto the pavement.

The 911 caller said the victim was laying in the middle of Sixth Street and the possible shooter was still on the scene. An active shooter situation was reported to officers, but once law enforcement arrived only the victim and about a few concerned neighbors were found.

The victim was taken to Magnolia Regional Health Center and investigators began the process of finding the shooter.

The Wednesday shooting comes just nine days after two men were killed by gunfire on Tate Street. Another shooting occurred earlier this month near the same apartment complex on East Sixth Street and Graham Street where three victims were injured.

Both shootings remain under active investigation.
