Three injured in shootings

Corinth police are investigating a pair of overnight shootings into residences that occurred minutes apart and are possibly linked.

Three people were injured and two remain hospitalized, including one at Regional One in Memphis. Thus far, police have not been able to obtain a description of a suspect or a vehicle in the area of the shootings.

Capt. Dell Green said the first shooting was reported at 2:24 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of East Sixth Street at an apartment complex. Jordan Powell, 25, who was shot several times, was taken to Magnolia Regional Health Center. A second person in the residence was not injured.

"Someone had shot through the bedroom window multiple times," said Green.

The second shooting call came at 2:40 a.m. at a duplex in the 800 block of Graham Street, where officers found two individuals had been shot. Jasman Cager, 28, is hospitalized at Regional One in Memphis in serious condition. Savannah Stewart, 18, was treated and released at Magnolia, he said.

Officers found similar circumstances on Graham Street, with shots fired through a window.

All three victims are expected to live, said Green.
