Searching for a 2019 calendar?

The Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter can help.

Gracing the cover this year is "Harley," a Great Dane owned by Jenny Johnson of Corinth. She won the top calendar spot after securing 355 votes during cover pet voting held earlier this year in the shelter's annual calendar fundraiser.

Calendars are now available for $15 each and can be purchased at the shelter or online at corinthalcornanimalrescue.com.

"Through the generous donations of our sponsors and advertisers, calendar printing costs were covered, while entry submission, voting and calendar sales monies will directly go to support the thousands of animals that we shelter each year," said volunteer director Charlotte Doehner. "The calendar is our biggest fundraiser, and one we truly believe this community loves to support."

Doehner said $1,999.72 was raised from photo contest entries and votes.

All proceeds from the calendar's photo contest entry and voting period and sales benefit the shelter. Each year, photo entries are used to create a full color, full-sized wall calendar.

In addition to Harley the cover pet, the 2019 shelter calendar also features 11 other top pet winners from the contest, as well as animal shelter facts, inspiring rescue quotes, simple ways to help, local supporters and AC Spay dates and info.

The shelter is a no kill, nonprofit animal shelter on a mission to save the abused, neglected, abandoned and injured animals in Corinth and Alcorn County, Mississippi.

Founded in 2011 and funded by private donations, the City of Corinth, the City of Farmington and the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors, the shelter is managed by community leaders, volunteers and a dedicated staff.

(Calendars can be purchased at the shelter located at 3825 Proper Street or online at corinthalcornanimalrescue.com.)
