Micaela Sanders and Haley Little are lifelong friends.

They became friends in elementary school and remained that way while growing up. They even became college roommates.

Their bond will take a step closer on a fall trip to Walt Disney World.

Havis' Kids volunteer Sanders recently sold 32 tickets for a free trip to Disney World with all proceeds to help fund the Havis' Kids trip to Orlando.

She sold the 32 tickets as part of the fundraising efforts.

Much to her surprise when the winning ticket was drawn, Haley Little's name was drawn.

"She did not believe me when I called," said Sanders.

At first stunned, Little could not believe the news she had won a trip to Walt Disney World to be taken at the same time Havis' Kids make the trip.

"I said, 'are you kidding'," said Little, as the two text each other a lot.

But this was a phone call.

"I still can't believe it," said Little, whose family has never been to Disney World. "I am so excited."

An Alcorn Central graduate, Little is married to Trent Little. They have three children, five-year-old Eli, a student at Corinth Elementary School, along with 17-year-old Colton and 24-year-old Abbie.

Little noted the trip will be extra special, going with her friend Micaela and the Sanders family, along with all the Havis' Kids and their families.

"With all the local folks going, it will be like one big family," added Little.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will help founder Havis Hurley and other volunteers take special needs children to Disney World on Oct. 7-13.

The trip drawing was one order of business on Sunday afternoon for the Havis' Kids monthly meeting, which included a visit by Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

The drawing also produced several cash winners.

Upcoming fundraisers were also discussed at the meeting.
