A six-year-old boy injured over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle in Alcorn County continues to improve in a Memphis hospital.

Ace Christian remains in stable condition at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, said his mother, Cortnie Christian.

"It's all uphill from here," Ms. Christian told the Daily Corinthian on Monday afternoon. "He is so strong."

A Corinth Elementary School student in Samantha Lambert's class, Ace has no brain injury, but suffers from multiple broken bones and fractures, said his mom.

Ms. Christian appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers for her son and more prayers are requested for continued progress.

The boy was hurt about 5:30 p.m. Friday as he attempted to cross County Road 400 (Salem Road) south of Glen.

Other family members were present during the accident, but escaped injury.

The child was in serious condition when he was airlifted from near the accident scene.
