A motorcycle rider was injured in a South Harper Road wreck on Saturday.

The female rider was thrown from her bike after she struck a vehicle that had pulled from the Jack's Restaurant parking lot on South Harper Road near Walmart around 2:15 p.m. The rider made contact with the drivers side of the vehicle.

The busy roadway became crowded as Corinth police and fire officials responded to the scene. An Air Evac medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but later canceled after Magnolia EMS EMT's determined the service was not needed.

The female rider was taken to Magnolia Regional Health Center with injuries.

The streets of Corinth and Alcorn County were occupied with motorcyclists throughout the day on Saturday. Many were in town for the eighth annual Ssg. Seth Ricketts Memorial Run which began in downtown Corinth at American Legion Post 6 earlier Saturday morning.

This is the second motorcycle versus vehicle wreck in Corinth this month.

Another female bike rider was injured when a vehicle pulled from the Dirt Cheap parking lot on U.S. Highway 72 on April 12.

That victim was airlifted from the scene to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
